There, he relives the fateful moments of his life, and, along with Pen, Paper, and Inkwell, he helps the characters of future tales overcome villainy. The ever-present adversary of the genius plots not only Ruslan, Eliza, and Guidon, but also himself, leading him to a fateful duel.
