Historical center of Moscow
Moscow is not only one of the world's largest cities, a political and economic hub, but also an ancient city with a rich historical and cultural heritage. During this walking tour, we'll explore Moscow's "old town," walk along the Kremlin's medieval walls, and learn the history of the country main square of the country. Why is it called "red"? What did it look like in ancient times? What legendary events took place there in the 20th century? We'll also visit the historic GUM shopping center and stroll to one of the oldest trading settlements, Zaryadye, now a park with a floating bridge. Passing St. Basil's Cathedral, creation of Ivan the Terrible, we'll conclude our tour with a visit to the Alexander Garden, one of Russia's first public gardens.
