A late 18th- to early 19th-century architectural and landscape estate, this property once belonged to Nikolai Durasov, a wealthy and prominent Muscovite of the time. The estate boasted a theater complex, and its fortress theater was among the largest in Russia. The lord’s palace and other manor buildings, set within a picturesque park, have been remarkably well preserved. Today, the site houses a museum that recreates the atmosphere of noble life from a bygone era.
