The Kaliningrad Regional Musical Theater is housed in the former Fishermen's Community Centre. The first local production was Johan Strauss's Revenge of the Bat. The core of the company is comprised of graduates of GITIS's four-year programme. In 2010, the International Academy of Arts and Entertainment named the theatre a national treasure of Russia.
