Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in the Alexander Garden
The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier was unveiled in the Alexander Garden on 8 May 1967. The sculpture depicts a laurel branch and a soldier's helmet on a flowing red banner. The remains of an unknown soldier killed at 40th kilometre of Leningradskoye Highway in the winter of 1941 are interred under a tombstone of red granite.
