Stone Flower Fountain

Behind Pavilion No. 1 at VDNH is the famous "Stone Flower" fountain. It was supposed to become the main attraction of the exhibition, but during construction it was decided to give preference to the "Friendship of Peoples" fountain. Without major repairs "Stone Flower" worked for 65 years, in 2009 it was reconstructed - replaced pipes, pumps, updated the appearance of the blossoming stone block, decorated with new layers of smalt. Today the fountain once again pleases Muscovites with bright colors.
