Central Market on Trubnaya Square

The Central Market was founded in the 1840s on Trubnaya Square. Initially, it was a trading row where you could buy all sorts of animals, such as birds and dogs. A brick building was erected in 1961, but in the mid-1990s most of the structures were dismantled and the market was closed. The modern Central Market opened its doors in 2017. The three-story building, stylized in the style of old Moscow buildings, was erected for a food court. Inside there are public catering establishments with seating, and musical groups perform for visitors on a regular basis.
