Along the Kerzhenets River, a tributary of the Volga, is the Kerzhensky Reserve. It was founded in 1993 to save the reindeer population. The area of the reserve is 46,856 hectares, of which almost 4,000 hectares are bogs. There are a large number of rivers and lakes on the territory. The flora of the reserve is characterized by diversity: coniferous and deciduous trees, herbs, mosses and lichens. There are almost 200 species of birds and 49 species of animals. Walking excursions are organized year-round in the territory, in summer you can rent a gazebo or a guest house.
