The monument dedicated to the Russian revolutionary and Soviet figure Sergei Kirov was opened in 1939. It is currently included in the list of regional cultural heritage sites. Initially the monument was erected on the place where the destroyed Pokrovskaya Church used to be located. In the early 2000s it was decided to restore the old church, and the monument was moved to another place. It is a 3.5-meter-high rosto sculpture of Sergei Kirov.
