The monument to Admiral General Fyodor Apraksin, an associate of Peter the Great, is located on Petrovskaya Square, near the Fortress Bridge, which connects Petrovskaya Embankment and Zamkovy Island. The opening of the monument on June 19, 2010 was timed to the 300th anniversary of the capture of Vyborg by Russian troops led by Apraksin. For this victory the Count was awarded the highest award - the Imperial Order of St. Andrew the Apostle. A whole team of authors worked on the project of the sculpture, its height is 4.5 meters. To date, this is the only monument dedicated to the Admiral General.
