Lunins' House

The building on Nikitsky Boulevard is an outstanding example of the Moscow Empire style of the first quarter of the XIX century. The manor was built after the fire of 1812 by architect Domenico Gilardi. On the facade of the building there is a high relief on the theme of the victory of Russian weapons in the Patriotic War of 1812. In 1823, the State Commercial Bank took over the territory, and after the revolution an automobile club was opened here. From 1970 to the present day, the Museum of the East has been located in the house.
