The oldest street of the capital with a length of 1,730 meters is located in the center of Zamoskvorechye district. It runs southward from the Small Moskvoretsky Bridge to Serpukhovskaya Square. The name is associated with the period of Tatar-Mongol rule in Russia. According to one of the versions, the road to the Golden Horde passed here. Walking along the street, you can admire the temples of St. Nicholas in Pyzhy, the Iveron Icon of the Mother of God in Vspolye, the icon of the Mother of God “Joy of All Who Sorrow”, visit the Marfo-Mariinsky monastery, see the Church of the Great Martyr Catherine in Vspolye. There are many noble and merchant estates, profitable houses, embassies of foreign countries located on Bolshaya Ordynka.
