Dolgorukov House

The monument of the classical era was built from 1788 to 1793 and was later rebuilt several times. In 1795, the Dolgorukov princes became the owners of the palace with a monumental portico, side buildings and a front courtyard. The drawings of this magnificent estate were included in the "Albums of particular buildings" by architect Matvey Kazakov. The house was damaged in the fire of 1812, but was restored and acquired Empire style features. In Soviet times, military institutions were located inside. After the 1998-2000 restoration, the Zurab Tsereteli Art Gallery opened here.
